Educational Commitment
I was born in São Paulo, Brazil, and completed high school at the age of 17. Soon after, I moved to Grenoble, France, where I began my undergraduate studies in French Art, Literature, and Hospitality. I then moved to Italy, where I studied Italian language and culture. After completing this course of study, I relocated to Gainesville, Florida, to attend the University of Florida (UF).
After my first year, I received a merit-based scholarship and was invited to join the Dean’s List, a small, select group of the university’s top students, among over 33,000. Shortly after, I was invited to join UF’s exclusive Honors Program, which granted access to advanced courses available only to students in the program. I graduated with a double major in Biology and French Literature, summa cum laude, and became a researcher at UF in the field of Microbiology.
After graduating, I was accepted into several medical schools in the United States, including the University of Miami. However, upon reflecting on my volunteer experiences in hospitals and schools, I realized that my true passion lay in education. My first teaching experience was at the age of 17, giving swimming lessons after competing for 10 years in São Paulo. Later on, I taught meditation, nutrition, and raw vegan cooking in the United States, where I lived for over a decade.
Continuing my academic journey, I earned a Master’s degree in International Education from Framingham State University in Massachusetts, graduating with honors. Since 2005, I have been involved in a variety of educational projects, including book editing, translation, educational consulting, and especially college preparation and mentoring for students interested in studying abroad during high school, both in the United States and Europe. While living in Brazil, I was invited to teach Math, Chemistry, and Biology at the high school level at Graded – The American School of São Paulo, where I remained for approximately five years before deciding to become an independent educator and consultant.
I speak six languages and am currently working on improving my Japanese, the most challenging one. Learning new languages is one of my greatest hobbies, along with traveling, swimming, practicing yoga, meditating, and exploring topics such as astrophysics and veganism. I’ve visited 52 countries, lived in four, and am always ready for more adventures!
My greatest passion is to motivate children and young people to reach their full potential—both academically and personally. I believe that learning should be fun and effective, encouraging intellectual and emotional development in meaningful ways. Since 2005, I’ve been supporting students with a wide range of goals, from homework help to preparation for international exams (TOEFL, SSAT, SAT, ACT, ISEE, IGCSE, IB), college applications in Europe and the U.S., French language lessons, book editing, and the development of social projects.
Above all, I’m dedicated to inspiring young people to become active in their communities, contributing to the collective well-being and the advancement of humanity as a whole.
Methodology
I take a highly personalized approach to education. Every student works differently, so I adapt each meeting to align with their unique needs and preferred working style. Whether it’s breaking down complex concepts, finding creative ways to engage with material, or brainstorming about college essays, my goal is to build not just knowledge, but also confidence. With patience, empathy, and encouragement, I help students become effective participants in their own educational journey.
Available 24hrs
Flexibility is key to supporting students in their busy lives. That’s why I offer sessions with flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends. Whether it’s a last-minute exam review or an ongoing college application, I’m committed to being there when students need help the most because learning doesn’t happen on a strict 9-to-5 schedule.
Holistic approach to each learner
I believe academic success is deeply connected to a student’s emotional well-being and self-belief. That’s why I nurture each student not only intellectually, but also personally—building a space where they feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. From goal-setting to stress management, my holistic approach empowers learners to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Meet The Team
Education is a family passion. Our close-knit team is made up of me, Mari Rozen, and my son, Matt. Together, we combine years of teaching experience with modern technology to provide students with both academic guidance and digital support, catering to both school and application purposes. With care, creativity, and a shared commitment to student success, we’re here to make the process personal, empowering, and effective.
